Mystery……. is the spice of life

June 5th, 2007 by joannpz

When two ants meet, they seem to pass a message through their lips,

When elephants stout incomprehensible pattern of maze

they seem to send rhythmic passion waves into space,

The pendulating eyes of the perched pair of owls

adding glamor to the mystery and serenity of the morning hours,

Birds and bees buzz around in aimless frenzy,

gently reminding the world of nature’s limitless beauty,

When migrating birds soar the skies in arrow- head formation,

It forces the human race to ponder in awe and in great admiration,

Holding back tears from a saddened heart,

You bade ‘Goodbye’ to Lincoln and to your teachers

with stammering ease and quivering might,

knowing what had been thought to you

will be yours forever,

as you walk through life’s labyrinths using its wisdom as your guiding light.

Deferred

May 26th, 2007 by joannpz

So I havent really got the time to tell everyone that my flight deferred to June 30th. I know  i know.. it takes forever to get me on the soil of KL! :) my apology to all. U know how annoying it feels when you have to do projects that do not really relate to the course that you are studying.. SOOO u hv no skill or maybe any idea at all what to say or do, and worse is that you have to do research…. urghh, no i had enough of researching. I thought I would be entirely free after exams.. and it is far from my thought! Bummer~ Typical Lincoln School -.-

I have three presentations to do.. THREEE!!!! and GOD, im far from completing any… u know, i js dont hv the zeal to do projects after exams.. what?!,.. research on some star, some calculus creative cramming project and research on three science advancements (i found lab grown bladder and how to grow a limb, i js need one more, any idea?? )…. geez no me likey!

Its one more week to go…. i guess i’l js have to survive through. Thats not the only thing that bites me though, Im really hoping that the university that i want to get into offers the course that i wanna do by this year.. pls let that happen :( sometime i wonder if im js chasing a fantasy

5 weeks before graduation

April 30th, 2007 by joannpz

It is another 5 weeks before I leave Argentina. As time comes closer, many thoughts run through my mind.. the bottom line is How diff would my life be in that near future?? Will i miss Argentina?  It comes naturally in me to see the beauty side of everything when you realize that you will not or might not be able to enjoy them as much as you could than before..specifically the country, Argentina.

School has definitely done a great job I must say. They have been very thoughtful and incessantly set up talks to brief us on the life we might not expect in university. I was very surprised to see Stephanie this morning again. She is a part from the FDA organization from US and what makes her very interesting is her past. Well, she had a terrible drinking and drug history, she was also the cause of her sis’s ruined life who now became a drug addict after her.

As common as it is in school over ere, drinking is one big problem. Not only in Argentina but also in the States. Students tend to take it as a form of relaxation and often we run into a lot of trouble getting drunk..If you do not know already, it is a norm to go to parties every single Friday. I love parties but after several times, i just got tired of the way it is run over ere..everything relates to alcohol, and it js dont seem right to me. I miss those outings in KL when alcohol isn’t the big part in parties. I miss those parties in KL when party is js a form of gathering between friends. I’m glad i found my lunchmates to maintain the other side of me.. lol, a bunch of Asian kids.. and how much i love em actually!

Aside from my lunch mates, the other group that appears a lot in the chapters of my life ere is the AsEuUs.. (Asia,Europe and Americans).  It is the IB Higher Level Biology class that brings us together and Im fortunate that I mingle well with em.. they are the ones that maintain the hilarious, outgoing and party side of me. Though of course, I dont party as hard and as crazily as them and yet I’m very much welcomed in that group. At least they respect the limits I set for myself..

After graduation, we will all walk a different path and may not even see each other again. It may sound sad but that is life i guess. Im sure we are all excited to know what awaits us in university.. and im really excited to see all my friends again. It may take awhile to adjust of course, but im sure it will be easy with the help of my beloved dear and friends. I wonder what the university that I have applied has to offer.. :) it will interesting to find out when im finally there.

Well exams are in js a week, hopefully i will be able to do well in the AP and IB International Exam and nt to disappoint my teachers. Gotta study now.. just taking some time off to jot down my thoughts.

I want to go to Miami or California!!~~ DAD!!! Tmr;s the luau, its gonna be cool tho lock in was cancelled, darn.. anyhow, good day today,it is sunny and windy(cold). My group of friends and i gt the best impromptu act in theater class, nyahah.! Lol, and i gt a new character as Sunrise Vorach from russia and im 47 *wth*..tmr;s the surprise.Well, i guess my day wud hv been impeccable if Ms.Stephens didnt hv to go for a surgery, she was such sugar to hv came all the way to school to teach us microecon, and Micheal slyly said to her ‘u dont hv to come to teach us tmr Ms.stephens if ure nt feeling good’.. yeah u wish Micheal, lol.. no homework huh! Gawd, the bruises on my knees kinda turned brown and black (pocka dots black tho).. i guess that must hv been a hard plummet! Jorgen was gaping when he saw the bruises, i told him i gt it because i was fighting 4our team during hockey.. laughing away,he gv me a hard hi5.. geez, tt was painful!

Then, one of the most barbarous guys in our school is in my PE class and i guess we had the longest conversation*just about 5 minutes long* today… oddly enough tt he spoke a lil english today.. totally absurd! His english is perfect bt with his weird attitude, he js wont speak it even in ENGLISH class and instead he speaks in Spanish.. he ms hv been in good mood today.Oh yeah.. he is a genius in Calculus too, tho he is stil trying to beat Takashi..BUT merrily, asian stil rules dude. Well, we even had an argument in the last semester*perhaps u might hav a hunch already* but we had no hard feelings after tt.. actually he is quite a funny guy.. js a lil absurd.. and annoying.

Itz hot in ere n it makes me feel like dousing myself into the pool nw..anyhow, gotta go and study :)

Surviving through~

February 7th, 2007 by joannpz

Gawdd, i finally survived three days of school..! Man, i;ve so much to rant abt school…,REALLy,…. d workload is killling me! i had almost no sleep last night, working my ass off for two quizes! mind you, quizes = short unit tests.. and we hv it every single week :(  and it is all graded, i wonder y they call it quizes. 7 hours of studying + 3hours of sleep + no lunch today = good results for adv.chem but fairly okay for adv.bio.. darn! I js had a day to prepare for the quizes :S. Whatever, the quizes for the hardest subs i hv for THIS week are over, leaving only calculus to tackle with on friday.. so i get to sleep early tonight.. WOOHOO :)
I was also running up and down, dealing with all the hassle to get ppl to buy the lock in and luau tickets for this coming fri.*burned some calories..nyahah*. It;s gonna be fun to hv everyone in school for a sleepover and pool party… well hopefully. It was a good day at school though, despite the quizes and studying part, we had fun cracking jokes, laughters’ the best medicine :) indeed! Te quiero mi carino.. ;) u noe who u are.
off to bed nw.. :)

An inspiration :)

January 7th, 2007 by joannpz

Oh i js read my sister’s blog, and somewhat it inspired me to do sth with my blog once again.. lol, at least to jot some notes down.. u know, it feels weird that my sis was enthusiasthic enough to blog, and somewhat im nt. Anyhow im happy that she did.. Okay as usual, i set this aim to complete my storybook by this week, and timidly to say that i failed my mission.. lol. Trying to compensate on the time that i have wasted playing cards with my siblings..(believe it or not, we spent like hours js competing with each other, hilariously enough to have it as part of our activities for DAYS)

SO, yeah, i was defenceless bt to answer the  hoarse wake up calls from my dad to get prepared to pay a malaysian family a visit at their clubhse. lazily i went into the bathroom and thought again that I slept at 4am last night solely to compensate the time that i have wasted bt to read abt the clairvoyant of this girl named Clara js because i played cards before that! anyways, Clara talks to apparitions and have this premonition ability, somewhat interesting. ANYWAYS so i went to this clubhse and i was astonished how js plain green plants can be so beautiful. I’m nt really that kinda of person that knows hw to enjoy and appreciate mother nature honestly. We had a stroll and learnt abt every plant in the clubhse and all of it were beautifully taken care of. I had a picture with an Aloe Vera Plant with my sis, which is taller thna myself.. huge!It is a hse actually, abt 2.5 hectar! They made it into a small private clubhse for parties and campings since argentinians enjoy so much partying.

So we had lunch with this malaysian CHINESE family under the roots of grape and two owls above.. note that i had it capitalized.. lol,it is js so good to see someone from your own country and what more a chinese family, they are the only chinese family in Argentina besides us.. I had a good relaxing lunch outside while enjoying the weather and captivative scenary, while talking to Mrs.Khoo and some other ladies from Singapore. LOL, funny enough we brought back a valuable thing from Mrs.Khoo’s family, which is their son back to our home for a week to spend his summer break with us. ANd his name is Tommy.. (oh btw Jamie, it wasnt me who voluntarily asked his dad to bring him home kay-isshh, u went and mentioned it to the world that i did that, lol, it was his mom who asked me to do that, and then u guys continued with it - again this is a clarification for Jamie..*smirk*). Tommy felt lonely living alone with all the adults at the age ard 40 to 60 years old according to his mom, and Tommy is hapless because he is the only child in the family.. =S so thats boring! Lol, once my dad asked if Tommy wants to come over, it seems like his whole hse was filled with laughters and joy, like finally Tommy finds some acquaintances that kind of thing u know.. His uncle was actually in a way shooing him,it was funny though.. asked him to *Aoi Chao Chap Pau Fuk Chao La, Em Mai Yan Tei Chao Em Tai Lei Hui Kao Ke La*.hope u guys can interpret what i said, hehe it is Cantonese btw js in case..  anyway it was Tommy’s first time, and he is only 15..hehe and he is timid and QUIET, super quiet!

Oh he is quite direct also.. lol, i havent seen any guests that wud tell a host that he is bored when the host ask if ure feeling at home. Then,we asked him to play cards, PS2 and anything that we cud brainstorm to make him feel at home, and he curtly replied that he is bored with all these games.. ishhh. Lol, oh and he also did one thing, i forgot to sign out on my hotmail account and he went and drop me a mail using my own account to gimme some compliments that he didnt dare to say it personally. How cute of him to drop me a complimentary notes and asked me in the mail if he can be my lil brother and how impertinent of him to have used my account.. Anyhow i stil love him as my stepbrother.. he is unique in a way.

So yeah, that was basically all that i did today.. besides dinner which is a routine and neccesity, and reading on my storybook till 12 am. Oh i have a confession, those who knows me knows that i dont read intentionally unless like the book is really so interesting. :) *timidly saying*, kay this is a summer reading assigned from school.. :) forced bt im glad that im reading such an expansive and exhilarating book. Anyways, it is time to go to bed and check on Tommy if he is done with his movie..hehe.. =) good night everyone.

Hola! Como estan chicos?? Ha sido un rato desde que escribi algo… -> Hello! How’s everybody doing? It has been awhile since i wrote sth That was what i wrote above.. it is better though to just write it all in english, it wudnt be too time consuming. Spanish rox btw.. =P Anyway, every week ere in Lincoln *my high school* is hectic. I cant really remember any week that i do not have any tests or homework..

Anyway,I had a great thursday this week, our school galvanized us by inviting the chief interpreter of the White House,Washington DC, United States. Her name’s Patricia Arizu, deceived us to believing that she has some blood of Japanese.. we still dont know about that, most likely No since she never mentioned about it when she introduced to us her background. Apparently, she graduated from Lincoln High School! I had a great time listening to her experiences with President Bush, Bill Clinton and any presidents that she worked before. She is the interpreter for President Bush most of the time anyway. Her job is REALLLYY interesting but at the same time, demanding. It was pretty shocking to know that her schedule are all timed between EVERY MINUTE.. bt  wellll, the experiences she got worthed it all.

Then, it was Friday, which means yday.. everyone got back their term one report card..Im glad to see that my grades are all A, i have few A- though..bt watever, i got an A- for IB HL Bio and Adv.Chemistry… which apparently my most difficult classes, im grateful enough!! I got A+ for Adv.Economics!!! Yay! And A for Adv.Calculus… =) others are english 12, spanish, other elective courses. It turned out that my GPA score is 3.9! Im a little laid back now since my term one is satisfying.. but still, it is js term one. I made my parent’s’ day.. dad heard about it when he called me from Singapore =) he got me a new watch =) well, nt because of my grades, my old watch band torn.. it has been with me for years, pretty significant to me.. LOL, Ash wud be happy that i got a new watch! Finally ayyy!!

It is a holiday this coming monday! It is good to have a long weekend..I seriously need a break! Owh, Yoshika left for Chile for vacation and Flem is in Misiones for her taekwando competiton =( Dad is in London right nw, lol… it is really pretty boring!!!!!One of the things i’d be doing today is that i’l be going to San Isidro to for a horse race with a friend of mine. lol, it is so weird though. I never really tried that but we got free tickets for it since our parents are members of the club. Hopefully it’d be amazing. Before that, mom, bro and i are going to our neigbor’s hse for arabic food.. hmm, yummy. OOoO, i watched a movie of lil bow wow last night, lol it was so funny and nice..oh yes, a lil of adam sandler movie.. lol, and the rest was fashion tv.. =P, it felt good to waste time on the tv, havent been doing it for awhile.really, im feeling good for this weekend. Randy got his first vaccine last night, and we bought him a new bone, the only thing left is his second vaccine which wud be 19 days later, and he’d be able to go out for a stroll.

Lol, honestly.. i was supposed to meet my dear, but he has a reunion dinner with his family and relatives.. i miss him!! so lol, because im bored and ive nothing much to do now since my dear isnt ere, i blogged to keep my friends outdere updated. I miss my dear!!!!!!!! Honey, thx for helping my mom to change the file mode. Lol, she was hogging the net again after that… she slept so late last night! Hanging around my room waking me up every now and then.. grr.but we had a good laugh =)

That’s basically it.. =) cheers!

~ last day of fun and relaxation~

August 7th, 2006 by joannpz

School starting tmr!!!! I have a mixture of feelings, from good to bad… Anyway, i met all the new students the other day on the orientation. The student Council community introduced the school as well as the city. We brought them to the city, we all had a great time despite that we didnt know each other much. And Dr.Heslip, our principal brought us to MCDonalds for lunch, hehe, at least sth which most students from diff countries know about. There are 45 new students this semester and they are all from different countries, mostly the students are from the States, of cos, it is an American High School anyway..
All of the new students are looking fwd for school and hehe, the seniors planned to do sth on the first day of school. Since we are graduating in the mid year of 2007,and 007 is one of James Bond movies, so we decided that the guys will be wearing their tuxedo to school and the ladies will be wearing their dresses… it will be an awesome day for all the community in high school to remember, not forgetting how weird we will look on Tuesday!! Studying in class with tuxedos and dresses, haha i hope Mr.Peate wont feel too awkward! I guess it aint so bad to start this new semester afterall, hehe, some silly entertainments always pop up.
=( And my dear has fallen sick,i wish the angels wil take care of him and make sure he has a speedy recovery!

A new semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 31st, 2006 by joannpz

It feels reallly weird to acknowledge the true fact that SCHOOL’S REOPENING in just one weeks’ time!!!! Well ,when school reopens, it means thousand things to me. Firstly, i will have lots of responsibilties for Student Council, lotsa new activities are coming up for the new semester! It wud mean that i will have to stay back at school everyday!!! School ends at 3.30 but i will never know what time i can leave the school compound. I hope the purposes i runned for a post in Student Council still serve. And Community service… ouhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~~~

Secondly, my new schedule is seriously going to kill me, i have no idea if i can manage all my assignments. I have Advanced Chemistry, Advanced Biology 2, Advanced Economics, Calculus, English 12, Spanish, Aerobics, and Theater. At least i have two electives to give me a break! Honestly, im kinda worried if i dont quite make it to the grades my parents are expecting. And i need the grades to apply for the course..huhuhuhuhuuu =S. Anyway NONE of my schoolmates are looking fwd for school, especially NOW, it is so friggin cold outside!!!!! it makes us all lazyyyyy….. ~~~ hehe, not even to the Kiosco to get any junks..

Thirdly, when school starts, it means that i will have lesser time for my beloved honey and my beloved friends from KL. =S So that is not good!!!!!!! But im glad that my dear and i work things out perfectly =)!!

Last but not least, hehe, i wont be blogging that often anymore.. i dont have that time.. even holidays, u see, what 3 blogs in 2 months.. hehe. imagine if school reopens, that wud be like 1 blog in 2 months? It depends if i have the time.. i doubt though.Anyway i wish myself the very best in my new semester and i wish that i will do well in it. Cheers Joanne!! ; )
